Tal-Furnar is what happens when an oven outlives the people who built it. Four generations of the same family in Xagħra, claiming a hundred and thirty years on the same fire. Bakery in front, restaurant attached, the bread and the kitchen sharing one heat source.
Sit at a table inside and you can hear the oven through the wall. The ftira lands on the table still warm; whatever else you ordered shows up around it. It's not a place for theatre — it's a place that has simply not stopped working.
