Mekren Bakery

Family-run wood-fired bakery in Nadur. Ftira, pizzas, and Gozitan bread out of the same oven, multiple generations deep.

Nadur is small enough that the village has two old bakeries and both are still going. Mekren is the other one. Family-run, multi-generation, the same wood oven turning out ftira, pizzas, and the day's bread in rotation.

You order at the counter, watch them slide the next ftira in, and walk out with something warm enough to make your bag steam in winter. It's the kind of place tourists find after locals already left.
